It's that time again....

I swore after last year, I would NEVER do Go90x again.  Well tomorrow is February and guess what??!?  I am doing Go90x, again.  I'm apologizing in advance to my family and friends for the moods and whatever favors I will be asking of you.  I have chocolate and wine in preparation for the month ahead.  I love you all! :)

Crazy Adventures with Jill...

You know getting visits at Go Cary from Jill Booth, make me so happy.  They are just delightful.  Monday's visit was extra special because she asked me to go on an adventure with her.  If you know Jill, that could mean a lot of things.  This adventure was destined to be fun because we were traveling to an old Cotton Mill to see a loft apartment.

This place was absolutely AHHHHHHmazing.  Our tour guide was a 90 year old little Bostonian and her pooch.  Both were as cute as a "bugs ear."

The space itself had cool feature, after cool feature.  So much character in one tiny little place.  It is damn near impossible to find that kind of charm and character in homes today.

Take a peek at the features I loved the most:

This ceiling....

This iron and wood - From the 1800s...imported from England.

This exposed pillar in the master bathroom.

[makes a perfect "T" for Alpha Mama Art]

Windows from the original cotton mill, turned mirrors!

These exposed pillars in the kitchen.                                                                  Curved stairs.

This exposed brick and that darling little heart iron work!!!

Seeing places like this, reminds me, it's the little things that make the biggest difference.

"I drink water like..."

We often get on random rants about topics non real estate related, at work.  Surprise! Surprise!

Thursday, I made a comment about blogger which turned into me saying "I drink water like a camel."  How we got there, I'm still not sure.  But this led to me asking Siri "What animal drinks the most water?"  Brandon was adamant that camels do not drink a lot of water.  Not to be out smarted...I searched and searched.

This is what I found:

The camel can go months without water, even losing 40% of its body weight, but once the opportunity presents itself they can drink 35 gallons in ten minutes and 50 over a few hours.

Boys and girls, this proves that I am right!  Brandon: "You win, you got me!"

YESSSSSSSS :)

Nature of the Beast...

My job requires me to do a lot of things.  Complete paper work, attend staging appointments, put out sign riders, etc.

And sometimes, it includes watching my boss get interviewed for NBC 17 News [and having a shining moment in the video - lol] and stomping around in mud to take pictures.  Check out the pictures below to see two exciting events from my week.

While most of you would hate stomping in mud, I actually love the excitement of not knowing what you could be getting into on any given day.  Next time, I will just be prepared with my rain boots!  :)

2012 in Review!

The only word that comes to mind when I think about the past year is, WOW!  I feel like I have accomplished so much!

Personally, I was able to cross a few things off of my bucket list: (1) Trip to Vegas, (2) Skydiving, and (3) Trip to New York.  Also, I feel that in 2012 my friendships have gotten stronger and my family bond has gotten stronger.

Professionally, Zach and I did outstanding.  We surpassed our goal for volume sales.  Because of this, I was able to give back even more to my charity.  That's always a plus!!  Go Realty and Garman Homes together have grown so much, we are moving up!  Next month we will be opening our new Go Cary office [stay tuned].

Because 2012 was so awesome, I can't wait for 2013.  I just know its going to be even better.

Here's to an awesome 2013!!
